Material Submission Guidelines
All material must follow the following criteria. Any ad that does not meet the specifications listed below is not guaranteed proper printing. The publisher is not responsible for the printed results of any electronics files.

SIZE: All ads must be set to correct size.

Digital Ad File Requirements:
The preferred format for all ad material submissions is an Adobe PDF file. All images must be at least 300 dpi using CMYK color. PMS colors may be used at an additional cost. PMS colors may be used at an additional cost and must be indicated on the insertion order. All fonts and images must be embedded. All electronic files must have a color proof accompanying the ad. If you are sending a PDF proof, please mark your file as "companyandproof".

Ads may also be submitted in the following native formats:
- InDesign 2.0 - QuarkXpress 5.0 - PageMaker 6.5 - Illustrator 10.0 (and Illustrator EPS files)
-Earlier releases of the above software are also generally acceptable. All linked image files should be at least 300 dpi and CMYK color and saved in a .TIF or .EPS file format.

FORMAT: PDF, EPS or tif files are accepted. Native Quark files are not recommended. PDF files must be cmyk, high resolution and include embedded fonts and images. All transparencies must be flattened.

FONTS: Fonts must be converted to outline.

PROOFING: If any ad has not met the above criteria, our designers will fix any problems if possible. A fee of $50 per hour will be added to the invoice for any ad requiring any corrections such as font/text re-flow, color building, ad sizes or image correction.

Submitting Digital Files
Ad files up to 5 MB can be e-mailed directly to sherry@3dscanningtechnologies.com.
For files larger than 5 MB, please contact the 3DST advertising department to make arrangements for the file transfer.

All non-PDF files should be compressed, or "zipped," prior to transfer. Use WinZip (.ZIP) for files created on PCs and Stufflt (.SlT) for files create on Macs.

Ad files may also be submitted on CD or Zip Disk.

Discounts and Commissions

Multiple Page Discounts: Substantial discounts are available to advertisers running multiple pages. Consult the publisher or your sales representative for details.

Agency Commission: 15% commission is allowed on display advertisements if ad material is furnished to our specifications and payment is received within 30 days of invoice.

Prepayment Discount: 5% discount is allowed if payment for one year's advertising is received in advance of the first insertion.

Reprints: Reprints of articles and/or ads are available in print or high resolution PDF format. All printed reprints are 8" x 10 3/4" on white semi-gloss stock. Contact Sherry Stravino –sherry@3dscanningtechnologies.com
